What to do to take care of children's skin in winter...

Winter means rough days. The impression of this roughness is also on our face. And the skin of little golds gets rough faster. Learn how to take care of your golden skin this winter.

Taking care of the skin becomes very important when winter comes. If there is a newborn baby or a young child at home, it becomes a mandatory duty for them. Since the arrival of winter, children's skin care should change. Dry, cold air has very little moisture and causes dry skin. Children's skin is more delicate and sensitive than adults, which causes them to lose moisture very quickly. It should be noted that the skin of a newborn baby is 30% thinner and less hydrated. Children's skin also has less natural moisture than adults. Therefore, skin dryness, allergies, irritation become common in winter and parents have to be more careful in this regard.

How to take care of children's skin in winter?

1. Moisture

Whatever material you use for massage, bath or baby skin care, make sure that it is rich in moisturizing ingredients. Vitamin E, vitamin B5, milk protein, rice extract deeply nourish the skin of children.

2. In Bath Time

Taking care of the baby's skin can be ensured through bathing. Do not bathe children in hot water for long periods of time, as this can dry out the skin. Bathing in cold water for a short time does not dehydrate their skin. Prolonged exposure to water, especially hot water, strips the skin of moisture and dries out the skin. Sponge bathing babies is also a good option. Use a mild cleanser that is pH balanced, hypoallergenic and specially formulated for baby skin.

3. Moisturize After Bathing

Moisturizing the baby after a bath or sponge bath is essential. It is best to apply a moisturizing lotion after bathing when the skin is still slightly damp. Gentle baby lotion enriched with rice extract and milk protein can nourish baby's skin. Lotions made with this ingredient are velvety and rich in Vitamin E and B5. They lock in moisture on baby's skin throughout the day. Apply body lotion and face cream to children. Children's cheeks become dry and chapped in winter. So apply the cream on the cheeks and massage it gently. Again apply creams and lotions before and after taking the baby outside. Use a humidifier if the home climate is dry.

4. Save from Diaper Rash

In winter, babies are overdressed and changing diapers frequently is not possible. So during this time, clean the area with alcohol-free and soap-free wipes to reduce the rash and irritation. These wipes also contain moisturizing ingredients. However, wet diapers should be changed periodically. Because it can cause infection and rash.

5. Dry Skin or Skin Problems

If your child has any skin problems like dry skin or eczema then extra care is necessary during winter season. Because these problems increase in winter and weaken the skin's immunity. In this case, using moisturizing cream improves immunity. Which can fight infection and prevent future skin damage.
